Thelma Bounds

Thelma Agness Bounds, long-time Tryon, OK, resident was born on June 18, 1916, in Cheney, MO, and departed this life on Saturday, February 4, 2012, in Stillwater, OK, at the age of 95 years. Thelma was the daughter of Boyd and Minnie (Hancock) Hicks. She married Thurman Cleo Bounds in 1932. Thelma worked at OSU in the food service department for many years. Her parents, husband, 2 sisters, 4 brothers preceded Thelma in death. Survivors include, one son and daughter-in-law Terry and Suzanne Bounds of Tryon, Oklahoma. Six sisters, Alma Baker of NV., Ima Gene Maye of NV., Ruth Armstrong of Stillwater, OK., Ann Moore of Weatherford, OK., Eloise White of Stillwater, OK., and Jewell Mahar of Perkins, OK. Three granddaughters and three great grandchildren, other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, February 7, 2012, at the Tryon Christian Church in Tryon, OK, with Rev. Loren Starling officiating. Burial will follow at the Tryon Cemetery in Tryon, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler.
