Terry Lance Chancellor

Terry Lance Chancellor of Prague, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully in his sleep, with family at his side, on April 4, 2019, after a brief battle with cancer. Funeral services will be held April 8, 2019 at 2:00 P.M., at the First Assembly of God Church in Prague, OK, with Brother Kevin Wehrli officiating. Burial to follow at the Prague Cemetery. Terry Lance Chancellor was born June 10, 1941, in Hartshorne, OK, to Alice (Dugan) & Andrew Chancellor. The family lived in Hartshorne, OK, where Terry played football, basketball and graduated high school from Hartshorne High School in 1958. Terry is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mrs. June Ellen James Chancellor, three daughters Tina Gregory, Joan and Steve Williams & Sherry and Joe Irick, and one son, Stacey Chancellor. Terry is also survived by four grandchildren, Stormy Griffith, Terran Irick, Steven Griffith & Joshua Griffith; five great grandchildren, Brenden Griffith, Landen Griffith, Kaden Griffith, Lincoln Irick & Ellana Griffith. Terry is also survived by several siblings, Ruth Kelly, Donnye Colclasure & Connie Ford. He is also survived by many nieces & nephews all of whom he loved very much. Terry Chancellor moved to Oklahoma City, OK, in 1960. He and June moved to Moore, OK, with their three daughters in 1965. He worked as a dock worker/truck driver for a total of 30 years at Transcon Freight Lines and Yellow Freight and then retired. He was a member of the Teamsters Union Local #886. He and his family moved to Prague, OK, in 1977. Terry had many hobbies and included playing dominoes at the local domino parlor with many life long friends in the Prague and Paden communities. He also enjoyed gardening, welding, tinkering around in his shop building various things and building shop buildings. He was very active in the church, enjoyed going out to eat and socializing with family and friends. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching basketball, football, baseball and softball games. Terry was preceded in death by his parents, Alice (Dugan) and Andrew Chancellor; sisters, Patricia Munson and Joyce Holliman; brothers, Leon Chancellor and Douglas Chancellor; and one grandson, Jacob Ryan Gregory. Terry & June Chancellor attend the First Assembly of God Church in Prague, OK. They love their church & church family. Terry will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
