Terri May Griffin

Funeral services for Terri May Griffin, age 55, of Tecumseh and former longtime resident of Meeker will be held at 2:00pm Tuesday, June 13, 2017 in the Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Prague with Brother Tuney Ropp officiating. Terri was born January 11, 1962 in Prague, Oklahoma the daughter of Melvin Floyd and Mary LaDawn (Floyd) Griffin. She passed away Friday afternoon, June 9, 2017 in the St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City. Terri was raised in Meeker, Oklahoma attending Meeker Public Schools, graduating from Meeker High School in 1980. In 1981, she began a career with Tinker Air Force Base that spanned over 16 years before her retirement as a Publication Clerk in 1997. During retirement, Terri enjoyed life caring for others as a homemaker, and listening to music, often singing and dancing. She was a member of the Morning Star Baptist Church of Meeker. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary LaDawn Griffin on April 4, 2000 and her father, Melvin Floyd Griffin on February 13, 2001; two brothers, Melvin Leon (Sandy) Griffin and James William (Jim) Griffin; one sister, Ginger Gail (Griffin) Gee; and one nephew, William Randel (Randy) Griffin. Terri is survived by her son, Jess Hayhurst of Harrah, Oklahoma; one brother, Larry Griffin and his wife, Rita of Newalla, Oklahoma; her twin sister, Sherri Courtemanche and her husband, Stephen of Harrah, Oklahoma; longtime companion, Jeff Little of Tecumseh, Oklahoma; a dear friend, Mark Kennedy; and many nieces, nephews and additional friends. Burial will conclude in the New Hope Cemetery in Meeker, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of the Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague, Oklahoma.
