Talina Stacy Pinion

April 24, 1966 — December 5, 2020

Talina Stacy Pinion, 54, a resident of Shawnee, Oklahoma, passed away on December 4, 2020, at her home. Talina was born on April 24, 1966 to Palmer Leon Smith and Judy Arlene (Holland) Fleming in Prague, Oklahoma, and was proud to have been born on her Granny Holland’s birthday. She was the oldest sibling to two brothers, Palmer Todd Smith, and Michael Aaron Smith. Talina was born in Prague hospital and lived most of her life in Prague. During her school years, she was quite talented. She acted in plays and sang solo songs in school programs. She played basketball and was on the cheer and pom squads. Her amazing high jumps were a wonder to see! As a sophomore, she was a football homecoming attendant. She was distinguished as a “Who’s Who” among high school students. Many will remember her for her humor and laughter! She graduated from Prague High School in 1984, and from there she attended Seminole State College and East Central University. She went on to receive her certification as a pharmacy technician and worked at the Shawnee Hospital. Talina married her high school sweetheart, Danny Pinion, on July 15, 1983, in Prague. She was so proud of her two children, Brittani, and Jacob. She so loved her grandchildren, Seth, Jayci, Jypsy, and Ethan. Talina was one of those rare people who always saw the hurt, heartache, and love in people. She was very soft hearted and felt the need for love in others. She was compassionate and kind to people where were less fortunate, and those who were treated badly by others. Her warmth and all-knowing feelings of kindness pulled her to work with disabled people throughout her life. People loved to be with her because she always had a large and contagious laugh! Life did not always go easy for Talina. She always had illness and heartaches like many of us. Even so, she always saw the good, opposed to the bad. She left us with a lot of wonderful memories! Talina was preceded in death by her grandparents, Adron Holland, and Dena and Albert Kubicek; her father-in-law, Dale Pinion; and her mother-in-law, Mary Carter. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Danny Pinion, of the home; her daughter, Brittani Smelser and her husband, David; son, Jacob Pinion; her parents, Judy and Howard Fleming of Moore, Ok., and Palmer Smith, of Prague; Siblings Todd and Cathy Smith of Oklahoma City, and Adron Smith of Prague; and her grandchildren, Seth and Jypsy Smelser of Shawnee, and Jayci and Ethan Pinion of McLoud, Ok.; and a grandmother, Lorene Holland of Oklahoma City, Ok.; As well as a host of other family members, and friends.
