Starland Dorman Davis

Pastor Starland Dorman Davis of Prague, Oklahoma, went to be with the Lord on January 18, 2021 in Shawnee, Oklahoma at the age of 77. Starland was born on July 7, 1943 in Prague, Oklahoma. He was the son of Charlie and Dorothy Davis. Starland was born and raised in Prague and graduated from Prague High School in 1961. Starland was a fixture in the Prague community. He was a loving and faithful man of God and will be greatly missed. Starland married the love of his life, Nancy Katherine Hildreth, on February 19, 1965 and the two were happily married and serving the Lord together for almost 56 years. The two had three biological children: Betty Marie, Starland Jr., Rusty, and one adopted child, Jerry Oakley Davis. Starland and Nancy also opened their home to 57 foster children. Starland dedicated most of his life to pastoring and he led many to the love and grace of Jesus Christ. He earned his doctorate of divinity from the School of Bible Theology in San Jacinto, California. Starland pastored Calvary Way Church in Prague for 37 years and helped the congregation grow and prosper. Prior to serving as Pastor of Calvary Way Church, he served as Associate Pastor of the Prague First Holiness Church and as Associate Pastor of the Faith Temple Pentecostal Church of God. Starland was preceded in death by his parents: Charlie and Dorothy Davis; one son, Jerry Oakley Davis; brother, Tommy Davis, father-in-law, Shirley Hildreth; one nephew, Jared Annis and one brother-in-law, Kenneth Annis. He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy Katherine Davis; three children: Betty Marie Phillips and her husband Billy, Starland Davis Jr. and his wife April, and Rusty Willoughby and her husband, Noah; grandchildren: Jason Phillips and his wife Natalie, Myka Johnson and her husband Justin, Taylor Davis, Cailin Davis and his wife Daniele, Alyvia Davis, Samantha Willoughby and Lindsay Sigman and her husband Alex; two great-grandchildren: Gatlin Phillips and Katherine Davis; his mother-in-law Betty Hildreth Quinn and his two sisters: Jarvis Annis and Charlotte Schmidt and her husband, Tom. Starland is also survived by a host of loving nieces, nephews, family and friends. A funeral service is scheduled for Thursday, January 21st at 2:00 PM. The service will be held at Calvary Way Church in Prague with his sons, Pastor Starland Davis Jr. and Pastor Noah Willoughby, officiating. A graveside service will immediately follow at Prague Cemetery. The family will accept guests from 6:00 PM to 8:00PM on Wednesday, January 20th at Parks Brothers Funeral Service of Prague.
