Sonny Messer

Sonny Messer a resident of Stroud, Oklahoma was born on October 13, 1936, in Kendrick, Oklahoma and departed this life in Stroud, Oklahoma, on Monday, October 17, 2005, at the age of 69 years. Sonny was the son of Lew and Lizzie DeBord Messer. Sonny worked in the construction business in California for many years before moving back to Stroud. He is preceded in death by his parents, six brothers and three sisters. Survivors include his wife, Betty Lou Messer of Prescott, AZ; one son and daughter-in-law, Chuck & Gloria Stegman of Chino Hills, CA; two daughters and one son-in-law, Kimberyly Ann Messer of Prescott, AZ, Brenda & John Yeatier of Prescott, AZ; three sisters, Bernice Dewitt of Tecumseh, OK, Mary Vickers of Cushing, OK, Wanda Treanor of Stroud, OK; 4 grandchildren and other relatives and friends. A Memorial service will be held at the Parks Brothers Funeral Home Chapel, Stroud, Oklahoma, on Monday, October 24, 2005 at 10:00 A.M. with Rev. Michael Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow at Parkland Cemetery in Parkland, Oklahoma.
