Shirley Joan Pritchett

July 1, 1958 — August 10, 2021

Shirley Joan Pritchett, of Prague Oklahoma, wife to the late David Charles Pritchett Sr., beloved mother, grandmother, and friend to many, lost her fight against Covid on August 10, 2021 at the age of 63. Born in Utica, New York on July 1, 1958, Shirley was the daughter of John Peppenelli and Marion “Closs” Clemente. She graduated from Nathaniel Narbonne High School in Harbor City, California in 1976. She also attended LA Harbor Junior College and Seminole State College. Over her lifetime Shirley worked in Central Supply at San Pedro Hospital, as a teacher, as a CNA, sewed for Wrangler, worked at Save -A-Stop in Prague for many years, was a Master Controller at Sac and Fox Juvenile Detention Center, worked for a Kwik Stop, and was also a samples lady. Shirley met David while attending the Nazarene church in San Pedro, California when they were both in high school. They were married on August 26, 1978. They went on to have three children, Christina, Elizabeth, and David Jr. Later grandchildren came along, Hazel, Duncan, Junior, Charlez, and Ember. Shirley was very devoted to her family. She home schooled her children for a time and also helped teach at the school when they attended the First Baptist Academy in San Pedro, California. She did everything in her power to keep her family together and running and with the purest of love. Until the very end, she was involved with her children and grandkids and gave to them everything she had. Shirley loved Jesus with all her heart and wasn’t afraid to let others know it. She was very involved with her church, The Little Church on the Corner in Prague Oklahoma. She was very giving, most often to her detriment. She didn’t care who you were she would talk to you, help you , give to you, and give you a hug around the neck if you needed it. Shirley loved animals, especially her dog Precious, who went before her, that was a big part of her life. She also leaves behind her current fur baby Zimba who loves and misses his mommy. She loved the Fourth of July because she was born so close to it and wore red, white, and blue and decorated with it in every way she could. She also loved her time at bingo and in the casinos and made very good friends there that were like family to her. Shirley is survived by her children, Christina and Danny Stowe of Seminole, Oklahoma, Elizabeth Pritchett of Tecumseh, Oklahoma, and David Jr. and Alyssa Pritchett of Luther, Oklahoma, her Grand children, Hazel Allyah Alyson (Hazel Lillie Mae Pritchett), Duncan Nathaniel Youngblood, Calvin Rae James Jr., and Ember Rae Pritchett, Her brothers and sisters, Dominick Clemente, Margie De Nigro, John Peppenelli, Gary Clemente, and Anne Rocha.
