Shirley Ann Stevens was born on February 21, 1938, in Sidney, Nebraska, and departed this life on Friday, May 21, 2010, in Stillwater, Oklahoma, at the age of 72. Shirley, the daughter of James Joseph and Ruby Lila (Dolley) Morfeld, was a resident of Stroud most of her life. She married Frank Ellis Stevens on November 21, 1956 in Kimball, Nebraska. Shirley was a member of the First Baptist Church in Stroud. Her parent; husband; son, Billy Joe, and sister, Clara, preceded Shirley in death. Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry and Connie Stevens of Aztec, NM, Jack and Carol Stevens of Corsicana, TX, Frank Stevens of Drumright, OK, Richard Stevens of Stroud, OK, and John and Misti Stevens of Perkins, OK; daughter and son-in-law Tammy and Glenn Jefferson of Hudson, CO; brothers Jerald Morfeld of Jillette WY; Jack Morfeld of Squimm, WA; sisters Barbara Lambert of Chandler, Donna Braswell of Jillette, WY, Betty Sornsen of Big Piney, WY; 11 Grandchildren and 11 Great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at 10:00 AM, at the First Baptist Church in Stroud with Rev. Burl Mackey officiating. Interment will follow at the Stroud Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud.
