Sherman Hall, 91 Long-time Meeker resident Sherman Hall, 91, passed away on Saturday, May 6, 2016. He was born Feb 22, 1925, in McLoud, Oklahoma. During WWII, Sherman served our country in Korea in the US Army. After dairy farming for several years, he was employed by COMPA (which became AMPI) delivering dairy supplies, then in field installation of dairy equipment. He served his church as song leader, deacon board member and chairman, and the “go-to” guy for just about anything that needed fixing at the First Christian Church in Meeker, OK. He had no greater joy than to be surrounded by his family. He had a strong work ethic and was a dedicated son, brother, husband, father. Sherman is survived by his wife of 70 years, Marie; two sons, Keith and Terry; one daughter, Sue; seven grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren. Sherman (AKA Granddad, Uncle Son, Sonny Boy) will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him, but his legacy has been passed down to the generations beyond his long life “under the sun”. Notes of encouragement may be sent to Marie at Rambling Oaks Courtyard, Apt. 213, 12310 South Western Ave., Oklahoma City, OK 73170. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 13, 2016 at 10:00 AM, at the First Christian Church in Meeker with Bro. Jim Whorton officiating. Interment will follow at Rossville Cemetery in Meeker. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague. A guest book is available to share your memories on-line. Please visit www.ParksBrothers.net
