Shelly Dawn Bell

Shelly Dawn Bell was born in Enid, OK on September 20, 1964 to Abner Ray Hall and Melva Dean (Johnson) Patton. She passed away September 3, 2022 in Stroud, OK at the age of 57.

Shelly’s fathers job had them move to a few Oklahoma towns throughout her younger years. She finally settled and graduated high school from Drumright in 1982. After high school she attended college and received her Masters degree in Psychology from Langston University in Tulsa, OK. After college, Shelly worked for Stroud Public Schools, then as a Counselor for the State of Oklahoma’s Department of Rehabilitation Services, after that the last few years she worked with Oilton Public Schools as a counselor.

Shelly married Larry Ross Bell on June 14, 1985. They made their home in Stroud where they raised their 2 daughters. Shelly loved to bake and was always ready for a day of finding garage sales. Decorating for the holidays was another thing she really enjoyed, especially Christmas, you were hard pressed to find a room in her home undecorated. Shelly took pride and loved her grandchildren. She loved to make a difference and her loving and caring spirit is one that will definitely be missed.

Shelly was preceded in death by her parents Abner Hall, Melva Patton and Max Patton and her brother Arthur Hall.

She is survived by her husband of 37 years Larry Bell; 2 daughters Lindsey Gordon and husband Robert, and Lacey Bell; 3 grandchildren Brynleigh Bell, Max Bell and Christian Gordon; brother Jeff Hall and wife Crystal; and extended family and many close friends.
