Shawn Wade Mills

Shawn Wade Mills, passed away on Sunday, October 3, 2021 in Shawnee, Oklahoma. He was 44 years old. Shawn was born on August 24, 1977 in Carrizo Springs, Texas. He was the son of Delbert Wade and Hellen Ann (Skinner) Mills. Shawn attended both Prague and Drumright public schools. He was a 1995 graduate of Drumright High School. Shawn had three children, Darrian, Trevor and Mackenzie. He was a loving father and his world revolved around his children. Shawn was employed at Tinker Air Force Base. He was proud of the opportunity to serve the men and women of the US military. Shawn was full of life. He loved being outdoors. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and enjoyed hiking. When he wasn't outside, you would often find him watching his favorite black and white westerns on television. Shawn was also strong in his faith. He had a strong relationship with his savior, Jesus Christ. His faith was important and reflected in how he treated others. He always put others first. Shawn was preceded in death by his father, Delbert Wade Mills. He is survived by two sons, Darrian Shawn Mills and Trevor Wade Mills; one daughter, Mackenzie Brookann Mills; his mother, Hellen Ann Mills and her companion, Ronnie Burleson; three siblings, Lesa Deutsch and her husband Todd, Shane Mills and his wife, Nicki and Kim Navrath. He is also survived by eight nephews, one niece, two great nephews and three great nieces and a host of family and friends.
