Sara L. Jones

Sara Lou Jones, long-time Chandler, Oklahoma, resident was born on December 22, 1933, in Stillwater, Oklahoma, and departed this life on July 16, 2008, in Stroud, Oklahoma, at the age of 74 years. Sara Lou was the daughter of Oran and Irene Lambert Stipe. She served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. Sara Lou married Martin E. Jones on June 5, 1971, in Chandler. She worked many years as a Social Worker and was a member of First Christian Church in Chandler. Her parents, husband and one daughter preceded Sara Lou in death. Survivors include, Sons and daughter-in-law, Jim Orr of Chandler, OK, John & Rhonda Orr of Chandler, OK, Daughter, Susan Currant, Sister, Jimmie Ted Taliferro of Chandler, OK, 5 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren. Other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, July 19, 2008, at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel, Chandler, Oklahoma, with Rev. Fred Rider officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Park Cemetery in Chandler. Services are under the direction of the Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler, Oklahoma.
