Samuel “Mark” Guinn of Meeker, Oklahoma, passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2024 in Shawnee, Oklahoma, at the age of 65. Mark was born on March 25, 1959 in Shawnee. He was the son of Samuel Wayne and Judith Ann (Wilson) Guinn. Mark grew up on his family’s dairy farm near Meeker and attended Meeker Public Schools. He was a 1978 graduate of Meeker High School.
Mark was a carpenter by trade. He was very skilled and could fix anything. Mark enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He loved animals, especially his dog, Pepper, gardening and collecting antiques. He was always on the hunt for his next great find. In his later years, he honed his gardening skills and grew beautiful vegetable gardens
each summer. Mark was known for his sense of humor and laid-back spirit. He was lighthearted and enjoyed joking around, especially with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed traveling with his family. He didn’t travel a lot but when he did, he enjoyed each adventure.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents and his mother-in-law, Glenda Sanchez and his
father-in-law, Ramon Sanchez.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Rhonda Joy Gallion-Guinn; his daughter, Danielle Carver; his son, Dillion Guinn and his fiancé, Tiffany Williams; five grandchildren, Ryder Carver, Sloan Carver, Cayson Guinn, Gavyn Williams, Carsen Williams and one granddaughter on the way, Millie Guinn; two brothers, Steve Guinn and his wife, Debbie and Greg Guinn; two
sisters, Janie Galloway and her husband, David and Cindy Martin and her husband, Jerry and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family has opened a memorial fund in Mark’s honor at BancFirst.
A memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 PM on Sunday, June 23, 2024 at the First Christian
Church of Meeker.
