Samuel Doyle Lakins

Doyle Lakins was born on November 15, 1934, in Paden, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Wednesday, October 10, 2007, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 72. Doyle, the son of Samuel Archie and Bertha Beulah Brown Lakins, was a resident of Paden. He married Dorothy Marie Gage on November 14, 1952, in Cochilla, California. Doyle worked as a mechanic and was a member of the Paden Holiness Church. His parents and two brothers preceded Doyle in death. Survivors include his wife of over 54 years, Dorothy Lakins of the home; sons and daughters-in-law, Eugene and Sherry Lakins of Prague, Gary and Terrie Lakins of Paden, Bryon and Debbie Lakins of Oklahoma City, Ricky Lakins of Paden; daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Joe Batie of Miami; brothers and sisters-in-law, James and Evelyn Lakins of Eufaula, Ronnie and Rachael Lakins of Paden; sister-in-law, Mattie Lakins of Shawnee; sisters and brothers-in-law, Goldie and Charlie Sandoz of The Dalles, OR, Jewel Collins of Pawhuska, Lorene and John Kimsey of McLoud, Florene and John Garland of Paden, Lavon and Howard Brown of Prague; 9 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
