Sadie C. "Corky" Austin

Sadie Cordelia 'Corky' Austin, long-time Chandler, OK, resident was born on January 28, 1930, in Parkland, OK, and departed this life on Sunday, June 10, 2012, at her home in Chandler, OK, at the age of 82 years. 'Corky' was the daughter of Paul and Murl (Greenfield) Covington. She married Louis William Austin. 'Corkey' worked as a Secretary for the Chandler School District for many years. Her parents, husband, one son, Bill, and one sister preceded 'Corky' in death. Survivors include, one son, Steve Austin of Chandler, OK, one daughter, Sandra Ann McCartney of Bran, TX, one brother, Jack Covington, Roundlake, IL, one sister, Barbara Martin, Perkins, OK, eight grand children, and sixteen great-grandchildren, Special Cousin, Cuba, other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM, Thursday, June 14, 2012, at the Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Chandler, OK, with Rev. Mike Mitchell officiating Burial will follow at 2:30PM, in the Sunny Lane Cemetery, Del City, OK. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler.
