Ruth Strong

Ruth Strong was born on January 25, 1925 in Bristow, Oklahoma and departed this world on December 20, 2019 in Stroud, Oklahoma at the age of 94. Ruth was the daughter of Wilson and Garnet (Clark) Holland. She married Vern Strong on April 2, 1951. Ruth was a retired CNA, CMA and also did private nursing for many years. She was a member of the Independent Baptist Church in Davenport, Oklahoma. She was proceeded in death by her parents, her husband, her siblings, Clifton, Frank, Kermit, Kate and John Holland. Ruth’s family includes her son Hank and wife Gwendy Strong of Colorado Springs, Co, her daughter JoAn and husband Johnny Miller of Davenport, OK; her grandchildren Lucky and Amber Miller, Katy and Jason Landrum, Mandy and Tony Cobb and Crystal and Sherwynn McNeal; her great-grandchildren Kale, Logan, and Carly Miller, Jake, Wade and Bo Landrum, and Orion and Axl McNeal; her brother Tom Holland and her sister-in-law Jan Clinton.
