Ruth Olive Forehand

Ruth Olive Forehand was born on January 12, in 1920, and departed this life on Monday, June 17, 2013, in Shawnee Oklahoma, at the age of 93. Ruth, the daughter of Joseph Edwin and Pearl (Northrup) Lamkin, was a resident of Meeker. She graduated from high school in Channing, Texas where she married Hugh A. Forehand on August 31, 1940. Ruth was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Meeker. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; a step-son, Arthur; four brothers; and four sisters. Survivors include: sons and daughters-in-law, Allen and Phyllis Forehand of Meeker, Kenneth Forehand of Moore, and Jerry and Patty Forehand of Edmond; daughter and son-in-law, Roberta and Jim Akins of Tecumseh; daughter-in-law, Gwen Forehand of Tucson Arizona; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 20, 2013 at 10:00 AM, at the First Baptist Church in Meeker with Rev. Joe Jones officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park in Shawnee.
