Ruth Doris Burrow was born on Saturday, May 5, 1923, in Cambridge, Cowley County, Kansas, and departed this life on Sunday, July 25, 2010, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, at the age of 87. Ruth, the daughter of Arthur Benjamin and Tama Lucienda (Ruckman) Garoutte, was a resident of Seminole since 1999. She married Ralph Nelson Burrow on November 23, 1938, in New Port, Arkansas. They lived in Meeker for over 20 years. He preceded her in death on September 7, 1993. Ruth was a retired Certified Medication Aide and a member of the Assembly of God in Jones. Her parents; son, Larry Ray; three brothers; and nine sisters, also preceded Ruth in death. Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Fred and Dorothy Burrow of Moore, Ralph and Nancy Burrow of Coweta, Donald and Carol Burrow of Tulsa, Thomas and Patricia Burrow of Tulsa; daughters and sons-in-law, Lenda and Wayne Davis of Jones, Carrol and Bill Cunningham of Drexel, MO, JoAnn and Raymond Lee of Choctaw, Doris and Mark Seifried of Seminole; twenty-three grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at 10:00 AM, at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Prague with Pastor Josh Stroggins officiating. Interment will follow at Floral Haven Cemetery in Broken Arrow at 2:00 PM. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
