Ruth Crawford

Ruth Lavern Crawford was born on July 18, 1929, in Seminole, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Saturday, August 15, 2009, in Prague, Oklahoma, at the age of 80. Ruth, the daughter of Clarence E. and Exie V. (Scott) Thompson, was a resident of Paden. She married Henry Clayton Crawford on November 18, 1948, in Okemah, Oklahoma. He preceded Ruth in death on April 4, 1990. Ruth retired from Paden Schools where she was the custodian at the high school. She was a member of the church of Christ. Her parents also preceded Ruth in death. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Howard and Norma Crawford of Paden; granddaughter, Melissa Crawford Ryburn and her husband Tyson of Prague; several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 19, 2009, at 2:00 PM, at the Paden Cemetery with Bro. Paul Heard officiating. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
