Ruth Belle Jilge, age 102, of Shawnee, OK, was born December 5, 1913, in Harrah, OK. She was the daughter of Gottlieb & Cora (Hamilton) Eckert. She left this life on Friday, January 29, 2016, in Shawnee, OK. Ruth married Adolf F. Jilge on September 27, 1930, in Tecumseh, OK. She was a homemaker and worked at Effinger's produce farm. She enjoyed growing a garden and canning, making homemade bread and rolls, listening to country music, playing bingo and dominoes and spending time at the McLoud Senior Citizens Center. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and son, Lewis 'Sonny' Jilge. Survivors include her 4 sons & daughters-in-law, Tom Jilge, McLoud, OK, James & Carol Jilge, Keene, TX, Eddie & Karen Jilge, San Jose, CA, Larry Jilge, Joplin, MO; 2 daughters & son-in-law, Margie Corman, McLoud, OK, Betty & Tommy May, Shawnee, OK, and five generations of grandkids and other relatives and friends. Services will be 2:00 PM, Thursday, February 4, 2016, at the Asa Smith Memorial Chapel, Harrah, OK. Interment will follow at Ferrell Cemetery, Harrah, OK. Services are under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, OK.
