Ruby Irene Holik

Ruby Irene Holik was born on September 4, 1924, in Prague, and departed this life on Monday, January 29, 2018, in Prague, Oklahoma, at the age of 93. Ruby, the daughter of Walter Lee and Agnes (Leder) England, was a resident of Prague. She attended Prague High School and graduated in 1941, later attending Draughns Business College graduating in 1943. She married Ernest Holik on June 24, 1948, in Prague, OK and enjoyed 52 years of marriage. Ruby worked for OG&E until 1948, First National Bank from 1948-1954 and Prague National Bank until retirement in 1990. She later worked at Holik’s from 1990-2009. Ruby enjoyed keeping the grandkids, bowling, cooking, taking water aerobics and walking in the park. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and sister, Avis Bullock Ruby is survived by her son, Tim Holik and wife, Cyndi of Prague; daughters, Diane VanCuren of Prague and Donna Smith of Prague; grandchildren, Crystal VanCuren, Jeremy VanCuren, Adam Holik and wife, Cylie, Dathan Holik, Shawna and husband, Albert Crawford; great grandchildren, Kylee Smith, Kolton Crawford, Kristen Crawford, Kaygon Crawford, Rhett Holik and JJ VanCuren; great-great grandchild, Laila Sam; numerous nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. The Holik family will receive friends on Thursday, February 1, 2018 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Prague. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 2, 2018 at 2:00 PM, at First Baptist Church in Prague with Pastor Tim Emmons officiating. Interment will follow at Prague Cemetery in Prague. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
