Ruby Bouse

September 14, 1921 — January 27, 2017

Ruby Mae Bouse, long-time Chandler, Oklahoma, resident was born September 14, 1921, in Madill, Oklahoma, and departed this life on January 27, 2017, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, at the age of 95 years. She was the fourth daughter of Nellie Hattie Pearl and Arthur Bascumb Hawkins. Ruby was the 'rudder' for her family. She made everyone around her feel valuable, special and loved beyond measure. She was inspirational, protective, feisty and wise. Giving friends as well as family directions in matters of life. We will always be eternally grateful to God for sharing her with us. She was a beacon of light, love, an incomparable woman of beauty and grace. She was the best of us and we will miss her deeply. Ruby was member of First Baptist Church in Chandler, American Legion Auxiliary and held office in Eastern Star of Chandler. Her love and devotion to her church led to serving 25 years in the children nursery. To all the church members she was known as 'Miss Ruby'. She loved site seeing and traveling in America. Ruby was married to the late Hubert Kinnear Sheriff of Lincoln County. together they served the public for many years during his term until his death. Later she married Charlie F. Bouse. He passed in 2014. Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and one brother, two husbands, one grandson, Steven Wright and daughter-in-law , Beth Kinnear. Survivors include two daughters, Shirley Summers and husband Warren of Shawnee, Oklahoma, Diann Baxter and husband Gary of Denton, Texas and one son Robert Kinnear of Edmond, Oklahoma, seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; other relatives and many friends. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Museum Of Pioneer History & Lincoln County Historical Society.
