Rozella Harris Vanzant

Rozella Harris VanZant was born on March 5, 1910, in Lead Hill, Arkansas, and departed this life on Tuesday, December 9, 2003 in Prague, Oklahoma at the age of 93. Rozella, the daughter of Arthur and Mary Taylor Harris, was a long-time resident of Lincoln County. She married Rev. Roy L. VanZant on December 24, 1925. He preceded her in death on July 29, 1991. Rozella was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church in Paden and a homemaker. Her parents, 1 brother, and 3 sisters also preceded Rozella in death. Survivors include sons and daughter-in-law, Charles & Judy VanZant of Muskogee, OK, Harold and Jackie VanZant of Prague, OK, and Jim and Susan VanZant of Ft. Gibson, OK; daughters and sons-in-law, Thelma and Eldon McDaniel of Harrah, OK, and Georgia and John Hoover of Eastland, TX; brother, Orvil Harris of Prague, OK; sister, Marie Guffey of Tulsa, OK; 16 Grandchildren; 37 Great-grandchildren; and 15 Great-great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, December 12, 2003 at 2:00 PM at the Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Prague, Oklahoma, with Rev. Waldo Young officiating. Interment will follow at Little Cemetery in Seminole County, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
