Roy Jay Youngblood

Roy Jay Youngblood, age 80, of Jones, OK, was born July 31, 1936, in Oklahoma City, OK. He was the son of Orvil & Helen (VonElm) Youngblood. He left this life on Wednesday, March 15, 2017, in Oklahoma City, OK. Roy proudly served in the U. S. Navy. He married Faye Locke on May 21, 1960, in Newkirk, OK. He worked as a guided missile & electronics foreman at Tinker AFB, retiring after 36 years. He also worked at Blue & Gold Sausage Co. for 20 years. Roy was a past member of the Harrah and McLoud Roundup Clubs and he enjoyed working the gate at the rodeos and watching people. His hobbies included gardening, mowing, working in his barn and he loved John Deere tractors. He loved his donkey, Mr. Brown, his family and especially his grandkids. He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Myrl Dean Youngblood and brother, Ralph Youngblood. Survivors include his wife, Faye Youngblood, Jones, OK; 2 daughter & sons-in-law, Cindy & Bob Kimmel, Jones, OK, Teresa & Les Oldham, Choctaw, OK; son, Joe Patterson, McLoud, OK; 1 brother, John Youngblood, Jones, OK; 7 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren with 2 on the way and many other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Sunday, March 19, 2017, at Smith-Parks Funeral Service, 2039 N. Tim Holt Dr., Harrah, OK. Services will be 10:00 AM, Monday, March 20, 2017, at the First Baptist Church, Choctaw, OK. Interment will follow at Gracelawn Cemetery, Edmond, OK. Services are under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, OK.
