Ronald John Rogers

Ronald John Rogers was born on December 18, 1940, in Chandler, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Tuesday, March 11, 2014, in Prague, Oklahoma, at the age of 73. Ron, the son of Ralph and Viola (Munson) Rogers, was a resident of Prague. He attended Chandler schools through the 10th grade when his family moved to Midwest City, where he attended Midwest City High School. Ron married Brenda Hancock. He later married Betty Hollingsworth, who passed away on April 27, 2007. He was a member of Faith Bible Church. Ron worked in the construction industry all of his life, most of that time within the masonry trade. He started his own company, Oklahoma Yuma Stone, in 1963 which later became Cobble Rock, a manufacturer of stone and brick veneer, landscape products and various other concrete products. His parents and brother, Tommy Dodson, preceded Ron in death. Survivors include: son, Jay Rogers of Prague; daughters and son-in-law, Ronda Kenyon of Midwest City and Regina and Dan Boyce of Tulsa; grandchildren, Robert and Taylor Kenyon of Bethany, Trey and Amanda Rogers and their son, Johnie, of Konawa, Samantha Rogers and her son, Kaydin, of Prague, Jeremy Snyder of Tulsa and Jordan Snyder of Tulsa; brother, Sammy Hillhouse of Warren, MI; sisters, Sharon Katzin of Midwest City and Cheryl Hulsey of Harrah; other family and friends. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 18, 2014, at 2:00 PM at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Prague with Rev. Scott Smith officiating.
