Robert Smedley

Robert Gene Smedley, Kendrick, Oklahoma, resident was born on December 31, 1937, in Rockville, Indiana, and departed this life in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, on August 29, 2007, at the age of 69 years Robert was the son of John and Leorie Ellen Jent Smedley. He married Jenny Yarbrough in Kendrick, Oklahoma, on April 21, 2001. Robert worked as a truck driver for many years. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Davenport, Oklahoma, and the National Rifle Association. His parents, one son, Butch; one daughter, Wendy; and eleven brother & sisters have preceded Robert in death. Survivors include, Wife, Jenny of the home, Five sons, Clint Smedley of Quincy, WA, Mark Smedley of Arkansas, David Smedley of New York, Brett Whitten of Bartlesville, OK, Branden Whitten of Ft. Hood, TX, Three daughters, Cheryl Smedley of Kendrick, OK, Cheyenne Smedley of Chandler, OK, Terri Hensley of Perkins, OK, One sister, Opal Whittenmeyer of Rockville, IN, Sixteen grandchildren, Seven great-grandchildren, Other relatives and friends. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, September 1, 10:00 AM, at the Kendrick Cemetery, Kendrick, OK. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler, OK.
