Robert Neal Heavin November 11, 1928 – July 16, 2020 (91 years) Robert was born West of Cement, North of Cyril Oklahoma on a small farm. He passed away while living North of Mertzon, Texas on his son and daughter in laws place. Preceded in death by his parents: Raymond Elva Heavin – August 26, 1900 – December 6, 1998 Annie Esther (Cannon) Heavin – April 18, 1908 – March 5, 2004 And, by his second wife, Phyllis (Seelig) Heavin – August 23, 1925 – January 4, 2012 And, his first wife, JoAnn (Cole) McCool – March 30, 1932 – August 2, 2018 Survived by three children; Gary and Darlene Heavin of Mertzon, Texas; Deron and Bill Swinney of Garland, Texas; Alisa and Dennis Jacobs of Knoxville, Tennessee. And four stepchildren; Aleta and Robert Crum; Carol and Ken Walstein; David and Debbie Seelig; Steve and Teresa Seelig all of Chandler, Oklahoma. And one sister, Mary and Dean Carlon of McLoud, Oklahoma. And numerous Grandchildren, Great-Grandchildren and Nieces/Nephews. Robert became a Christian in his early 20’s and a long-time member of Southern Baptist Church of Chandler. He served in the Air Force from 1950 thru 1954. He and his young family moved to several different places including Arlington, Tx., Midwest City, Okla., St. Louis, Mo., Topeka, Ks., Fontana, Ca., Spokane, WA. And finally, to Chandler in 1969 when he married Phyllis. Robert loved to travel and always owned a fifth wheel or motor home. He travelled actively until this past fall, landing at the home of his son near Mertzon, Tx. Robert lived a full and active life, hunting and fishing, riding his motorcycle to top of Pikes Peak at 87 yrs., bear hunting in Minnesota, fishing in Canada and most especially visiting children and grandchildren across the U.S.
