Robert Lee Halstead

Robert Lee 'Bob' Halstead was born on March 27, 1920, in Carterville, Illinois, and departed this life on Wednesday, January 31, 2007, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 86. Bob, the son of Sam and Mary Freeman Halstead, was a resident of Shawnee. He served his country during World War II with the United States Navy. Bob was a retired geologist, a member of the First Christian Church in Shawnee, and a 32nd Degree Mason. His parents; his wife, Verna Lucetta Richardson Halstead; and one grandson preceded Bob in death. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Gary Lane and Paula Halstead of Haymarket, VA; daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Bob Pickett of Prague; brother and sister-in-law, Sam and Marge Halstead, Jr., of Ohio; 6 Grandchildren; and 13 Great-grandchildren.
