Robert Lawrence Kottke

Robert Lawrence Kottke was born on July 14, 1923, in Bemidji, Minnesota, and departed this life on Tuesday, February 21, 2012, in Prague, Oklahoma, at the age of 88. Robert, the son of Lawrence Ludwig and Nora Maria (Greenslit) Kottke, was a resident of Prague. He married Betty Joan Gammon on August 17, 1945 in Portland, Oregon. Robert proudly served his country in the United States Army during World War II. He worked as an insurance adjuster and was a member of the Church of Christ and the American Legion. His parents preceded Robert in death. Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Betty Kottke of the home; sons, Robert Michael Kottke of Salem, OR, David Bruce Kottke of LaJolla, CA, Curtis Roy Kottke of Poulsbo, WA; daughter, Jody Lee Bain of Prague; brothers, Valentine Orville Eugene 'Gene' Kottke of Medford, OR, Dennis Kottke of Central Point, OR; sisters, Gwen Garrout of Medford, OR, Marilyn Howell of Colorado Springs, CO; 11 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. Services are private.
