Robert John Nelson

Robert John Nelson, age 81, of Harrah, OK, was born on May 6, 1931, in Evanston, Illinois. He was the son of Robert G. & Josephine (Wanstrath) Nelson. He left this life on Tuesday, January 22, 2013, in Oklahoma City, OK. Robert married Paula Jackson on October 4, 1958. He proudly served in the U. S. Air Force retiring after 20 years. Robert also worked at the Oklahoma City Water Department and the U. S. Postal Service. He was a member of the Postal Workers Union and his hobbies included horses and sports. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Paula and one grandson, Robert Littleton. Survivors include his 2 daughters, Theresa Nelson, Oklahoma City, OK, Susanne Littleton, Shawnee, OK; 2 grandchildren, Cliff & Amber Littleton; 3 great-grandchildren:Cierra, Clifford & Gabe and many other relatives and friends. The family suggest that memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the American Lung Association. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, January 25, 2013, at Memory Lane Cemetery, Harrah, OK. Services are under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, OK.
