Robert Henry Stone

Robert Henry Stone was born in Cushing, Oklahoma on March 27, 1939 and departed this life in Tulsa, Oklahoma on Tuesday, July 5, 2011 at the age of 72 years. Robert was the son of Lawrence G and Lela (Roper) Stone. Robert was a resident of Stroud most of his life. He married Cynthia Raffety on March 24, 1962 in Cushing, Oklahoma. He was a active member of the Stroud Christian Church in Stroud, Oklahoma, He was Eagle Scott, Order of the Arrow and spent a lot of his time working with the Cub and Boy Scott here in Stroud, Oklahoma. He retired from the Army National Guard and went to work as a carpet Installer. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and two sisters. Survivors include, Cynthia Stone of the home, One Son & Daughter in Law, Robert & Connie Stone of Durant, OK, One Daughter & Son in Law, Shirley & Terry Huff of Stroud, OK, Six Grandchildren, Nicole, Sean, Caleb, Casey, Tuesda and Waylon, Five Great Grandchildren, Other relatives and friends. Funeral service will be held at the Stroud Christian Church at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, July 9, 2011 with Pastor Will Fine and Dwayne Jackson officiating. Burial will be in the Stroud Cemetery under the direction of Parks Brothers in Stroud, Oklahoma.
