Robert Earl Manwell

July 4, 1929 — April 29, 2015

Robert Earl Manwell, a dearly loved hardworking farmer, husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, who was born July 4th, 1929 in Jones, Oklahoma. Robert passed away peacefully at his home on April 29th, 2015. Robert was the third born child of Ralph and Winifred Manwell of Jones, Oklahoma both preceded him in death. Robert was raised in Jones, Oklahoma and attended school, along with being the last graduation class and Valedictorian of State Center, in 1947. Robert met the love of his life, Rada Van Stephens, and were married on December 9th, 1950 in Harrah, Oklahoma. After 62 years of marriage Rada preceded him in death. Robert was raised on the family farm, where his father taught him how to work hard, grow crops successfully, how to be fair, honest and be kind to others without judgement. His dedicated hard and honest work led him to purchase the West Manwell homestead. Where he was able to raise and love four children, along with watching his family grow, being proud and loving the time spent with grandchildren and great grandchildren. Robert is survived by his four children Steve Manwell; Sandi Manwell Smith and spouse Buster Smith; Todd and spouse Tina Manwell; Tracy and longtime girlfriend Lisa Matlock. Grandchildren Shauna Manwell, Jamie and spouse Aileen Manwell, Tonie and spouse Kyle Williamson, Rylan and spouse Kailee Manwell, Landon and spouse Krystal Manwell, Kyle Reece, Cale and spouse Jessie Reece and Shaylee Manwell. Brother Harold and spouse Rosalie Manwell, brother Dean and spouse Andrea Manwell; sister Norma Glazier, Sister Gayle and spouse Bill Hoag, sister Karen Lennox and proceeded by sister Wanda Hartoon. In addition to many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a number of wonderful friends. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Sunday, May 3, 2015, at Smith-Parks Funeral Service, 2039 N. Tim Holt Dr., Harrah, OK. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Monday, May 4, 2015, at the First Baptist Church, Harrah, OK. Interment will follow at Memory Lane Cemetery, Harrah, OK. Services are under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, OK.
