Robert E. 'Bob' Dunham., age 81, of Newalla, OK, was born on April 25, 1929, in Griggsville, Illinois. He was the son of Everett & Pearl (Manton) Dunham. He left this life on Saturday, March 12, 2011, in Midwest City, OK. Bob proudly served in the U.S. Air Force during WW II, Korea and Vietnam, retiring after 22 years. He married Nancy Rae Pool on July 4, 1963, in Wichita, Kansas. After his military career he worked at and retired from Tinker AFB where he was an aircraft mechanic. Bob also had a tractor & brush hogging business and he drove the school bus for Harrah, McLoud and Choctaw schools. He delivered for Meals on Wheels in Harrah for several years. He coached little league softball and basketball and was a volunteer firefighter for the Newalla Fire Department. Bob was a longtime member & past president of the Oklahoma State Roundup Club Association and the Sunrise Roundup Club of Newalla. He was a member of the American Legion Post 170 and was a Mason & Shriner. He enjoyed helping others, working with horses and dealing with livestock. Bob really enjoyed driving the activity bus for the schools and he liked attending the students games and trips and supporting them. Bob was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters. Survivors include his wife, Nancy Rae Dunham, Newalla, OK; 2 daughters & son-in-law, Denise Dunham, Newalla, OK, Debbie Dunham & Scott Welch, Noble, OK; 2 grandchildren, Sheridan & Skyler Welch and many other relatives and friends. The family would like to thank the nurses & staff of CCU at Midwest Regional Hospital for the excellent care they provided. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or charity of your choice. Graveside services will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday, March 17, 2011, at Memorial Park Cemetery, Oklahoma City, OK, with Rev. Bill Derrick officiating. Services are under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, OK.
