Robert "Bobby" William Matthews

Robert William "Bobby" Matthews, of Prague, Oklahoma, passed away on Friday, May 24, 2024 in Shawnee, Oklahoma, at the age of 48. Bobby was born on August 9th, 1975 in Shawnee, Oklahoma. He was the son of Robert Wayne Matthews and Mary Lou (Gamel) Foster.

Bobby grew up in and attended Dale Public Schools. He was a 1994 graduate of Dale High School. After high school, Bobby went to work building bridges and did so for many years. That later part of his life, he dedicated to taking care of his mother.

In his spare time, Bobby enjoyed fishing and camping. He especially enjoyed spending time at Lake Eufaula. Bobby also loved to listen to country music, spending time with his family and spoiling his beloved dog, Chester.

Bobby was preceded in death by his father, Robert Wayne Matthews and his sister, Niki States.

Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Mary Lou Foster; his son, William Matthews; two sisters, Sandra Jackson and her husband, Eric and Shelley Dill and her husband, Paul; step-brother, Richard Foster; two step-sisters, Rebecca Davis and Sara Lattie and his beloved dog, Chester.
