Robert “Bob” Allen Johnson was born on July 15th, 1946 in Marysville, California to William Harry Johnson of Oklahoma and Betty Ann Johns of Washington. Sometimes called Moses as a boy, he graduated from Marysville High School where he met his wife, Shirley Jean Johnson. He was committed to serving his family, his community, and his country. His military service as a Navy Seabee included three tours in Vietnam, two tours in Desert Storm, and a rotation with the State Department. Bob was proud of his more than 20 years of military service and spoke of it often. “Seabees Can Do!” The Johnsons retired to the country outside of Prague, Oklahoma in 1994. Bob continued to help his community as proprietor of Bob’s Custom Repair, volunteer at the Arlington Fire Department, and volunteer with the Chandler Boy Scout troop 133. Bob never met a stranger he didn’t like, and was happiest in the company of friends and family. He enjoyed traveling, landscaping, a good action movie, and doting on his 6 grandsons. Bob passed away in the company of his family on Saturday, June 22nd, 2019 at the age of 72. He is survived by his wife of 50 years Shirley; his daughter Veronica and Troy Moss of Yuba City, California; his son Robert Brady and Holly Johnson of Sparks, Oklahoma; his daughter Samantha and Erin Meinders of Charleston, South Carolina; his sisters Donna Madsen, Mary Misquez, and Pearl Herbert; and his grandsons TJ, Trevor, Robert Clay, Alex, Dylan, and Noah. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Bill Johnson. Memorial services will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, June 29th, 2019 at Faith Bible Church in Prague, Oklahoma.
