Rickey Orlan "Bubby" Miller

April 4, 1983 — April 9, 2018

Rickey was 35 years old born on April 4, 1983 to Rick and Tonya Miller in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Rickey went home on April 9, 2018 from his home in Maize, Kansas. Rickey left behind his wife Amy, his father and stepmother, Rick and Lisa Miller of Stroud, his mother Tonya Miller of Davenport, his mother and father-in-law Gary and Cindy Purcell of Stillwater, Grandmother Bonnie Hesket of Lawton, Sister and Brother-in-law Nickey and Phillip Jones of Lewisville, TX. and countless more family and friends. Rickey was a Valedictorian of Stroud High School in 2001 and a graduate of Oklahoma State University with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Finance in 2007. Rickey married the love of his life Amy on May 16, 2007 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Rickey spent most of his career working in the crude oil industry with multiple oil companies. Rickey was a football aficionado. From playing linebacker on his high school football field for the Stroud Tigers to keeping stats for the Oklahoma State Cowboys, this was where you could find him at his happiest. During his high school football career he won several awards including Defensive MVP his senior year. Rickey was a true Raiders fanatic no matter how many wins that season. He even taught his dog Dozer to catch long passes. Rickey could talk football and share his passion with anyone he met. We could also see this expertise when he won all of his fantasy football leagues. Rickey would always be the call when technical help was needed in the family. There was not a problem with technology he could not solve. He was always the warmest heart, light, and laugh in the room. You could always count on him to bring the life and the Dr. Pepper to the party. Rickey was preceded in death by Great Grandmother Sylvia Davis, Grandfather George Hesket, Grandmother Bessie Miller, and Grandfather Manzo Miller.
