Richard William Patterson

Richard Patterson, life-long Chandler, Oklahoma, resident, was born August 1, 1936, in Chandler, and departed this life June 20, 2017, in Stroud, Oklahoma, at the age of 80 years. Richard was the son of Joe Raymond and Una Violet (Evans) Patterson. He married Sherry Brown in 1980, at Paris, Arkansas. Richard worked as a rancher, and local businessman around Chandler for many years. His parents, wife Sandra Crary, one brother, and one grandson preceded Richard in death. Survivors include his wife Sherry of the home; four sons, Billy Patterson of Chandler, Jody Patterson of Springfield, MO, Dustin Patterson of Chandler, Rustin Patterson of Chandler; four daughters, Jean Bonner of Chandler, Joy Ford of Shawnee, Oklahoma, Jan Hodge of Chandler, and Betty Mauch of Chandler; one brother, Charles Patterson of Chandler; nineteen grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren, and one great- great-grandchild, other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM, Friday, June 23, 2017, at the First United Methodist Church in Chandler, with Rev. Robert Wonn officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Park Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service, Chandler, Oklahoma.
