Richard Elgin Green, 83, a life-long resident of Meeker, Oklahoma, passed way on June 26, 2021, at Meeker Nursing Home. Richard was born in Meeker on March 21, 1938, to Clifford Green and Ethel (Kennitt) Green. Richard married Sue Gentry on August 18, 1957. They were married for 59 years before Sue’s passing on May 14, 2016. Richard enjoyed country dancing and riding horses. He was a founding member of the Meeker Roundup Club. Above all, Richard cherished the time he spent with his loving family and friends. Richard was preceded in death by his wife, Sue Green; his parents, Clifford Green and Ethel Green; siblings, Opal Faye Powers, Smokey Green, Toby Green, Joyce Gouker, Ellen Byford, and Buster Green; lifelong friends, Slim Wyatt, Ed Harris, Calin Gatlin and Ronnie Smith. Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Gary Green; two daughters, Sherry Green, and Joyce Gautier and her husband, Michael; two grandsons, Chace Gautier, and Tanner Green; a great-granddaughter, Reagan Sue Green; lifelong friends, Clyde McDaniel, Jake Devereaux, Dick Irwin, Johnny Davis, and Eppie Holguin; as well as 14 nieces, 19 nephews, and other extended family members and friends.
