Richard David Couch Sr.

Richard David Couch was born on September 13, 1929, in Chanute, Kansas, and departed this life on Saturday, April 11, 2009, in Chandler, Oklahoma, at the age of 79. Richard, the son of Howard and Ethel Arthur Couch, was a long time resident of the Davenport, Chandler area. He married Leona Hurst on June 20, 1956, in Sand Springs, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death January 3, 1983. Richard then married Betty Lee on January 1, 1986, in Davenport, Oklahoma. Richard served our country in the United States Army. He graduated from Oklahoma State University, receiving his degree in Animal Husbandry, and worked for the Department of Agriculture. Richard was a farmer, and raised pecans. His parents and first wife, Leona, preceded Richard in death. Survivors include, Wife, Betty of the home, two sons, Richard Couch Jr. of Edmond, OK, Alan Couch of Owasso, OK, one daughter, Loretta Ackerman of Eufaula, OK, four step-daughters, Alexis Dean of Jones, OK, Debra Allen of Jones, OK, Jeanne Moran of Jones, OK, Holly Hale of Choctaw, OK, 8 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 14, 2009, at 2:00 P.M.at the Parks Funeral Chapel in Chandler with Mike Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow at Davenport Cemetery in Davenport, OK. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler.
