Richard Allen Tipton

Richard Allen Tipton, long-time Chandler, Oklahoma resident was born December 27, 1937, in Davenport, Oklahoma, he departed this life on October 4, 2019, at his home in Davenport, at the age of 81 years. Richard was the son of Norman and Florence (Wilson) Tipton. He attended Tulsa Public Schools, and was 1960 graduate of the Spartan School of Aeronautics. Richard married Barbara Ann Baker on August 18, 1962, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He worked as a carpenter for many years. Richard was a member of the Family of Faith Fellowship. He loved woodworking, swimming and was a history buff. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Florence; and one brother, Norman Louis Tipton Jr. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Ann of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Patrick and Ginetta Tipton of Fort Smith, Arkansas; one daughter and son-in-law, Marcia and Braeden Alverson of Monument, Colorado; four grandchildren, Jamie, Jennifer, Josiah, and Abigail; one sister, Suzanne Bollinger; other relatives and many friends. The Tipton family will be receiving friends and family at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Chandler, Oklahoma, Monday, October 7, 2019, 6:00PM to 8:00PM. Graveside services will be held at 10:00AM, Tuesday, October 8, 2019, at Davenport Cemetery, with Dr. Sam Matthews officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler.
