Reba P Richardson

Reba Pearlena Cummings Richardson, age 83, of McLoud, OK, was born on February 14, 1923, in Sardis, OK. She was the daughter of Marvin & Sarah Lula Shaw Cummings. She left this life on August 8, 2006, in Shawnee, OK. Reba graduated from Haileyville High School, in Haileyville, OK. She married Harold W. ?Buddy? Richardson on October 19, 1940 and they lived in Sardis, Oklahoma where they owned and operated a grocery store. In 1947, they moved to the McLoud and Newalla area, where they also owned and operated a grocery store. Reba worked at Bird?s Department Store, Seikel?s, and was a nurse for Dr. Shockey at his clinic in Harrah. She was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church, McLoud, OK. Reba enjoyed fishing, camping, reading and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Reba was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and two sisters, Lela Cummings and Lee Henderson. Survivors include 2 sons & daughters-in-law, Delbert & Sandra Richardson, Bethel Acres, Gene & Patricia Richardson, Newalla; 1 daughter & son-in-law, Brenda & Gary Lynch, Bethel Acres; 11 grandchildren, Dale & Cindy Richardson, Susie & Steve Mauldin, Lisa Richardson, J. T. & Deanna Langham, Donald Huggins, Lorne Richardson, Anita & Terry Patterson, Gary Brian Lynch, Rusty & Jennifer Lynch, Dusty & Lisa Lynch, Michael Ray Lynch; 16 great-grandchildren, Leslie, Erin & Tyler Richardson, Nicole & Ethan Waggoner, Matthew & Jacob Mauldin, Brooke & Blake Wolfe, Ivy Langham, Gabe Huggins, Tera & Hailey Patterson, Ramzie Lynch, Michael Dean & Dustin Lynch and many other relatives and friends. Services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, August 11, 2006, at the Asa Smith Memorial Chapel, Harrah, OK, with Rev. Bill Derrick officiating. Interment will follow at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery, Newalla, OK. Services are under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, OK.
