R.D. Reynolds

R.D. Reynolds of Meeker, Oklahoma, passed away on Saturday, November 6, 2021, at the age of 84. R.D. was born on August 24, 1937, in Foster, Oklahoma. He was the son of Oscar and Ollie (Cole) Reynolds. He grew up in Duncan and attended Duncan Public Schools. R.D. was a 1956 graduate of Duncan High School. On January 24, 1956, R.D. married the love of his life, Basima Reynolds and the two were married until her death on July 24, 2014. R.D. was passionate about cars, golf and his family. He loved to work on cars and there was not any part of a car he could not fix or improve. He loved to buy and sell them, talk cars and work on them. He was also an avid golfer. He spent many hours on the golf course, fellowshipping with his friends and family who golfed with him until his wife became ill. R.D. made a friend out of everyone he met. He had a caring heart and did not want anyone to do without or be in need. He would often have friends who did not have anywhere to go on holidays, join him and his family for holiday dinners and celebrations. R.D. also had a special place in his heart for his children and grandchildren. He loved spending time with them. R.D. was preceded in death by his loving wife Basima of over 58 years; his parents, Oscar and Ollie Reynolds; his daughter Ginger; his son Lenny; great grandsons Caden and Caleb; great great-granddaughter, Brooklyn; one brother, Cliff; and one sister, Florence. He is survived by three sons: David and his wife Kathy, of Granbury, Texas, Rickey of Shawnee and Roger of Broken Arrow; one daughter, Deloris (DeAnn) and her husband Keith of Shawnee; daughter-in-law, Sue of Shawnee; 19 grandchildren: Chris, William, Misty, Natalie, David, Joseph, Daniel, Joshua, Jessica, Jazmin, Lynn, Gabriel, Daniel, Karri, Jeff, Matthew, Elizabeth, Rebekah and Sarah; 34 great-grandchildren; six great great-grandchildren; 2 brothers: C.F. and his wife Betty of Laurel, MS, Lonnie Reynolds of Odessa, TX; 1 sister: Ann Willingham of Odessa, TX.
