Raymond Leroy 'Ray' Garner, age 65, of Harrah, OK, was born on March 14, 1947, in Harrah, OK. He was the son of Arthur & Della F. (Conner) Garner. Ray went to be with the Lord, Friday, June 8, 2012, in Harrah, OK. Ray was a lifelong Harrah resident, grew up in the Harrah United Methodist Church and graduated from Harrah High School. He proudly served in the U. S. Navy during the Vietnam War. Ray graduated from OSU-Okmulgee with an electricians license. He also graduated from Northeastern State University with a teaching degree and taught woodworking for 7 years. He retired from Tinker AFB where he was a scheduler. Ray enjoyed chatting on the computer, reading Louis L'amour books, listening to old country music and gospel music and going to the senior center and playing dominoes & cards. He loved fishing and dove hunting. Ray was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife, Cheryl Marie Garner, Harrah, OK; son & daughter-in-law, Ed & Jennifer Garner, Harrah, OK; daughter, Robin Garner, Norman, OK; 2 brothers & sister-in-law, Arthur Floyd Garner, Jr., Hollister, MO, Larry & Jan Garner, Moore, OK; sister, Sue Barnard, Harrah, OK; 2 grandchildren, Bryan Arthur Garner, Allix Ann Garner and many other relatives and friends. Memorial service will be 2:00 PM, Thursday, June 14, 2012, at the Harrah United Methodist Church, Harrah, OK. Services are under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, OK.
