Raymond Leon “Big Ray” Tubbs, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, resident formerly of the Meeker area, was born March 3, 1944, in Fallis, Oklahoma, and departed this life on August 15, 2009, in Oklahoma City, at the age of 65 years. Raymond was the son of Arthur W. and Myrtle (Richmond) Tubbs. He worked as a Carpenter for many years. His father, and two brothers, Robert, and Freddie; preceded Raymond in death. Survivors include, daughter, Yolanda Tubbs of Oklahoma City, OK, mother, Myrtle Tubbs of Oklahoma City, OK, four brothers, Arthur Tubbs of Meeker, OK, Jerry Tubbs of Shawnee, OK, Wayne Tubbs of Oklahoma City, OK, Terry Tubbs of Oklahoma City, OK, two sisters, Alice Harris-Longoria of Meeker, OK, Arnita Calip of Dallas, TX, six grandchildren. Other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 21, 2009, 11:00 AM, at Douglas Community Center in Chandler, OK. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler.
