Raymond Lee Ballard

Raymond Lee Ballard, long-time Carney, Oklahoma, resident was born November 19, 1951, in Vinita, Oklahoma. He departed this life on, June 17, 2021, at his home at the age of 69 years. Raymond was the son of Hugh and Bonnita (Straw) Ballard. He married Reecie Tate on August 30, 1969, in Whittier, California. Raymond worked for Capital Steel Company in Oklahoma City for many years. He was a hardworking generous man. He loved spending time with his family, playing cards and board games. Raymond was truly the rock of the family and will be greatly missed. Raymond was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Larry; granddaughter, Kametra, and one nephew, Claxton. Survivors include his wife of fifty-one years, Reecie; four daughters, April Koert of Oklahoma City, Michelle Brewer of Oklahoma City, Kathleen Stovall of Oklahoma City, and Christeen McKinney of Spriro; one son, Charles Ballard of Oklahoma City; one sister, Joyce Ballard of Oklahoma City; one brother Jerry Ballard of Oklahoma City; eleven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren, other relatives and many friends. A graveside service will be held at 10:30 AM on June 22, 2021, at the Carney Cemetery in Carney, Oklahoma, with Rev. Paul Coffey officiating. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler, Oklahoma.
