Ray Eugene Bishop

Ray Eugene Bishop was born December 14,1927 to George L. Bishop and Ola (Gentry) Bishop in Payson, Oklahoma. He passed away on November 11, 2022 at his Edmond home surrounded by his loved ones at the age of 94. He married Deloris Frazier in December of 1945. They were blessed with two daughters (Linda Jean Bishop and DeeAnna Rae Igleheart), three grandchildren (Amanda (David) Little, Michelle Jones, and Michael Jones), and 5 great grandchildren (Morgan, Cale, Peyton, Camryn, and Callen).

Ray retired from Tinker Air Force Base then started his own business as a farrier when friends kept needing him to shoe their horses.

Preceded in death by his parents, George and Ola Bishop, his brothers, Pvt. Edward L. (Jack) Bishop and Lloyd Bishop, his sisters Billie Faye Bowen, Betty Lou Friend, Louise Flowers. He is survived by his wife Deloris, of the home, daughters Linda Bishop of Edmond, and DeeAnna Igleheart of Yukon, his three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, and his oldest sister Mildred (Tootsie) White of Springfield, Missouri.

At Ray's request, no funeral services will be held. He will be laid to rest at White Dove Cemetery in Sparks, Oklahoma. Condolences may be offered online at www.parksbrothers.net or send to funeral home. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler, Oklahoma.
