Rada Van Manwell, Farmwife, Mother and Grandmother, who was loved dearly and will be truly missed, Rada was born October 8, 1931, in Harrah, OK and graduated from Harrah High School in 1949. Rada married Robert Earl Manwell on December 9, 1950. Robert and Rada lived on a farm in Choctaw for 16 years before buying what was called the West Manwell Homestead. The farm celebrated its Centennial '100th' anniversary in 2005. Robert and Rada both loved sports, as they both met at a basketball game in Harrah and stayed married and loved each other for over 60 years. Rada was the youngest child of William Bryan Stephens and Gladys Eula Phillips Stephens, both who preceded her in death. Rada's siblings, Berdee Stephens Holt and Harold Lee Stephens, also preceded her in death. Rada was active with Jones Schools. In fact, Grandfather West Manwell donated the land for State Center School to be built on. Rada was on the Jones School Board for five years. Rada served on the Farm Service Agency, while working together with her husband on the family farm, along with loving to work in her flower beds, in her yard and raising her four children. Rada is survived by her husband, Robert Manwell; children and spouses, Stephen Earl Manwell & wife, Kathy of McAllen, TX, Sandra Manwell Smith & husband, Buster of McAllen, TX, William Todd Manwell & fiancee' Tina of Jones, OK, Tracy Keith Manwell & friend Lisa of Jones, OK; 11 grandchildren, Shauna Manwell, Jamie Manwell, Tonie Williamson, Rylan Manwell, Landon Manwell, Robert Kyle Reece, Calvin Cale Reece, Natalie Horton, Tyler & Garrett McElhaney & Shaylee Manwell; 7 great-grandchildren, Landree & Meredith Williamson, Dakota Horton, Kaiden Manwell, Cooper Manwell, Kylee Manwell & Mylah Manwell along with numerous and loving brother and sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews. Services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, August 15, 2013, at the Harrah United Methodist Church, Harrah, OK, with Rev. Randy Little officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Lane Cemetery, Harrah, OK. Services are under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, OK.
