Preston "Buddy" Harrington

Buddy was born in Depew, Oklahoma on July 5, 1924 and departed this life in Milfay, Oklahoma on Wednesday, July 01, 2009 at the age of 84 years. Buddy was the son of Lloyd and Irne (Clark) Harrington. Buddy was a resident of Milfay, Oklahoma all of his life. He was in the United States Navy where he served in WW II. He married Wanda Stiner on November 23, 1946 at the Lincoln & Creek County Line. Buddy loved to play baseball and help build the Forster Park Baseball fields. He had several different occupations, but being a rancher and raising cattle is what he loved to do. He was a member of the Welcome Tabernacle Holiness Church & affiliated with the New Covenant Church in Stroud. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 sister and 1 brother. Survivors include, Wife, Wanda of the home, One son & daughter in law, Patrick & Susan Harrington of Alma, Arkansas, Three Daughters, Carloyn Neely & husband Bobby of Stroud, OK, Sharaan Ronish & husband Daryl of Milfay, OK, Dorothy Brown of Kellyville, OK, One Brother, Bill Harrington of Oklahoma City, OK, One Sister, Iris King of Yukon, OK, Eight Grandchildren, Vance Neely Angelie Cooper, Ronnie Shaddon, Rashane Couch, Racheal Smythe, Abraham Harrington, Timothy Harrington and Deanna Weaver. Seventeen Great Grandchildren, Other relatives and friends. Funeral service will be held at the New Covenant Church in Stroud at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, July 6, 2009 with Rev. Starland Davis officiating. Burial will be in the Stroud Cemetery under the direction Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud.
