Phyllis Mitchell

Phyllis Mitchell was born on December 28, 1939, in Chandler, OK, and departed this life on Sunday, March 6, 2011, in Oklahoma City, OK, at the age of 71 years. Phyllis, the daughter of Virgil and Dorothy (Jones) Herndon, was a long-time resident of Chandler. She married Frank Mitchell in 1956, at La Mesa, CA. Phyllis worked for National American Insurance Company in Chandler for many years and was a member of First Baptist Church. Her parents, and one son, Mark Mitchell precedded Phyllis in death. Survivors include husband, Frank Mitchell of the home, three sons Frank Mitchell Jr. of Chandler, Paul Mitchell of Shawnee, Pat Mitchell of Chandler, two brothers, Roley and Carl Herndon of Chandler, thirteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren, other relatives and many friends. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, March 9, 2011, at Oak Park Cemetery in Chandler with Brother Rick Blackwell officiating. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler, OK.
