Phyllis Ann Heavin was born in Sparks, OK on August 3, 1925, to Dr. Henry B. and Alice (Graham) Jenkins. She graduated as Valedictorian of her High School Class of 1943 in Tryon, OK. She attended Oklahoma A&M and Central State University. Phyllis married Darrell A. Seelig, M.D. in 1944, and to that union produced four children, Aleta, Carol, David, and Steven. She has been a resident of Chandler, OK since 1954. On October 31, 1969, she married her beloved husband Rober Neal Heavin. They have enjoyed a wonderful life together full of travel and many good times with family and friends. Phyllis is a member of the Chandler Southern Baptist Church. She was instrumental in the establishment of the Lincoln County Health Department and retired in 1985. She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her husband, Robert of the home, children Aleta Crum, Carol Wallstein, David Seelig, and Steven Seelig all of Chandler. Grandchildren, Greg Crum, Molly Franks, Brenda Grogan, Derek Wallstein, Jennifer Maguffee and Travis Seelig, five great-grandchildren. Her step-children, Gary Heavin, Deron Swinney, and Alisa Jacobs, seven step-grandchildren and six step-great-grandchildren. A special part of her family is her caregivers, Ladonna Keeth, Vivian Wayland and Denise Mascho. Funeral Services will be held at Chandler Southern Baptist Church on Friday, January 6, 2012, with Rev. Keith Henley officiating. Burial will be held at Oak Park Cemetery in Chandler. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler, Oklahoma.
